Cookie Policy

This is the list of cookies grit.md puts in your browser and what each one does. The names are real: open your browser settings and check.
What a cookie actually is
A cookie is a short note a site leaves in your browser so it can recognise it next time. It gives no access to your files, your camera or anything else on the device.
Necessary
Without these the site does not work as intended, so they need no consent and are set straight away.
- GRIT_LOCALE, one year. Remembers the language you chose so your next visit does not drop you back into Romanian.
- grit-consent, one year. Keeps your answer to the bar at the bottom so it does not reappear on every page.
Analytics
These appear only if you pressed “Accept”. Before that they do not exist and no statistics are gathered.
They are set by Google Analytics, connected through Google Tag Manager. They show us how many people came and which sections they use. No name or phone number appears in those statistics.
- _ga, up to 2 years. Tells one browser from another.
- _ga_XXXXXXXXXX, up to 2 years. The same for a specific property: it holds the session state.
No advertising cookies
We set no advertising cookies and build no profiles for ads. If that ever changes, a separate section will appear here and the consent bar will ask again.
How to refuse or change your mind
Press “Necessary only” on the bar at the bottom and the analytics ones simply never start.
Already accepted and changed your mind? Clear the site cookies in your browser settings. The bar comes back and you can answer differently.
Your browser can also block cookies altogether. The site keeps working, but it stops remembering your language and your answer to the bar.
Content embedded from other sites
The map and the social widgets on the contacts page load from their own services, and those may set their own cookies under their own rules. We do not control that.
Where to write
Send questions about cookies and data to info@grit.md. What we do with personal data is set out in the privacy policy.
